Audiobook Recording Residency

Okay me hearties, an audiobook recording has been accomplished and is now in production processing, however long that may take!

I sublet the house of artist friend Willow Woodsmith at The Shire near Lake Cowichan on Vancouver Island, BC Canada on Nitinaht land. There, I spent a month laying track.

It was an epic reading of the kind rumored in ancient legend, the 6-day tellings in the islands of Maharlika in a 30-day sprint of about 200,000 words. I enjoyed the waterside house to myself with the company of two cats. Will be seeing how its method of delivery develops.

But Then: Grace, and an Audiobook

I had to plan my repair call appointment about a week out, and yesterday we did a thorough check-in and started a repair ticket. A mailer box is on the way, and directly after the appointment was over, my many-times-replugged laptop… awoke spontaneously before my eyes!

So I was able to trim up the 4th Sequence beta audiobook reading tracks, and post them to evaelasigue.bandcamp.com.  This one is currently reading only, though the first three include bookends of music by Phutureprimitive. All are listen/download by donation.

I’ve also retrieved all of my most recent draft work. I have done a bit of rewriting under duress of loss before, but it’s nicer when efforts aren’t wasted. So, I’m glad for this much, and a battery replacement may not take too long. It’s definitely been a while since my last major story threat. Adversity is not to be underestimated, but it is possible yet to triumph in doing what can be done. The wisdom of the moment.

Fire Within, 2nd Sequence Audiobook

The 2nd Sequence audiobook of Bones of Starlight Book 1: Fire Within is now airing beta on evaelasigue.bandcamp.com  featuring the music of Phutureprimitive – available to listen, pay what you want to download.

A note on rights accessibility: this set of audiobook recordings is being released with a Creative Commons Attribution license. That means they are available to be shared and remixed, including commercially, so long as correct credit is given for the sample. So, these sci-fi book readings can be openly incorporated into music and other audio and video collages. I am keenly interested in any such collaborations and would very much like to be informed, even rewarded! But, permission is not necessary to proceed. Please, do.
