A quick announcement to say that I’m on the program for the 74th World Science Fiction Convention, MidAmericon II, a.k.a. Worldcon!
There, Hugos will also be awarded for the year of 1941.
Okay, here I come Kansas City! With Bones of Starlight, and who knows what else.

Tomorrow, Wednesday February 10, 9:00pm PST live show broadcast: http://www.twitch.tv/melwinggames
I did a short introductory interview with the Susan & Frank Program, a new audiocast that offers a comfortable living room radio hour, spanning enjoyable topics with particular perspectives. It’s fun, relaxed, and kinda geeky, complete with commercials of things you can’t buy, hosted by Melwing of The Backlog, and Titus of The Broke Ass Guide To Life.
The live cast is destined for archival at: https://soundcloud.com/susanandfrank/
Thank you to all who made the launch reading at Mother Foucault’s Bookshop a dynamic and singular evening!
Bones of Starlight: Fire On All Sides is now available online at The Reading Room and Amazon.com, with Prime availability.
When I was first beginning the plot for this book, I read Edge of Nowhere, the beginning of a YA trilogy by island-area author Elizabeth George. Later, I got to meet her at a writer’s conference, where she inscribed this funny notebook I picked up visiting family in the Philippines:
This isn’t causal, but it is coincidental!
Tonight:

PAPERBACK ARTWORK
The wide release paperback will feature art by Genesis Grey and lettering by Matt Krotzer!
The painting will be shown at tonight’s reading, with more by the artist (and others!)
SKETCH NOTE 28
That part didn’t show up on the official view. Is that a spacehawk top left? If it’s a hawk, amongst stars…
